Hello. I’m Lottie.

Here’s me in my happy place - with my beloved (hidden!) Box and story sacks. We’ve been on quite a journey together - and there’s a lot more to come.

But firstly - hello to our new followers, and a quick introduction!

Magic Box runs interactive storytelling sessions for kids aged 18 months to 6 years. We offer drop-in sessions, school sessions, parties and events, and productions. The key to all we do is: imagination. It can take us anywhere and turn us into anything - and kids know that more than anyone. And the benefits are huge - kids learn to develop social skills, understand emotions, improve language and communication skills, and gain confidence.

So, after telling stories for over 7 years now (how long?!), I thought it was time to share some musings on life with the Box…Behind-the-scenes, guest writers, sneak previews - once a month, I’ll aim to lift the lid (pardon the pun) on our life together. And then - there’s been 2020…

This past year has been incredibly challenging - lots of decisions to make (not my strong point), constantly changing rules of what we’ve been allowed to do, on top of the personal impact these Covid months have had - and I’m now looking forward to getting some freedom back. Where me and the Box can choose what we want to do and where we want to do it!
